It’s the last day of the 12 Days of Giving! I hope you have been enjoying the freebies.
Day 12
Have you ever used interactive read-aloud in your classroom? An interactive read is a planned and focused read-aloud of a text. They are intentional and involve a teacher finding text that is engaging and has rich vocabulary. Let me introduce: Read Aloud Kits – An Interactive Read Aloud Companion.
Today’s freebie is a Read Aloud Kit for the book Sneezy the Snowman. Read Aloud Kits include a bookmark guide that can be stored in your book. The bookmark includes an overview of the book, stopping points to interact with your students, vocabulary words and extension ideas.
In addition to the bookmark, you can print out sticky notes with read aloud activities.
Interactive read aloud provide a great opportunity to focus on vocabulary in text. The Read Aloud Kits also include pocket chart vocabulary words with kid-friendly definitions. The vocabulary words can also be printed onto sticky notes for use with your students.
Finally, each Read Aloud Kit includes three graphic organizers. The organizers vary depending on the story.
