Baseball Resources for the Classroom
It’s spring, which means opening day of baseball is just around the corner. It is one of my favorite times of the year, baseball season. I love watching my son play baseball, attending local minor league baseball games, and going to major league games. Baseball is very popular in my classroom. Here is a round-up of baseball resources I use in my classroom.

Baseball Books
There are some great baseball books that I keep on our bookshelf this time of year.
- Goodnight Baseball
- Pete the Cat: Play Ball!
- Curious George at the Baseball Game
- The Berenstain Bears Go Out for the Team
- H is for Home Run
Since I have students who either play or watch baseball, I encourage them to write about their experiences. We have a baseball word list that inspires their writing.
