I love having my students retell and sequence the different versions of The Gingerbread Man. Do you have a favorite version of this story? https://www.theteacherbag.com/product/gingerbread-man-sequencing-journal/

It's December, which also means the 12 days of freebies begin! This year the theme is snowman. Be sure to check back each day for the new freebie.

Today's freebie is a number scoot (or write the room) activity. Sudents find the number snowman cards around the room, count the dots, and then write the number. This is a great way for your kinders to practice counting and writing their numbers to 20. https://www.theteacherbag.com/snowman-number-scoot/

Our winter math tubs are ready for the week! We don't have snow where we live, so the next best thing is winter and snowman themed math activities!

Some of my kindergarteners are working on hearing digraph sounds in words. This digraph snowman freebie is a quick and fun way to practice. We play during our small group instruction time.

Have you read the story Winter Dance? It's a fun story about a fox who is trying to figure out what he should do now that winter is here.

Fox visit other first animals to ask their advice. They suggest activities that work for them, but they won't necessarily work for Fox.

This story is a fun story for your students to act out with movements, especially on winter days when you are inside due to weather!

We are getting ready to begin the process of learning about various animal groups and write animal reports. It's so fun to see how far my students have come in writing.⁣
⁣
Do your students write animal reports? I have a new blog post up on how I scaffold the process for my kinders. Link in bio.
