Snowman Sentence Scramble Freebie

Welcome to Day 3 of Giving! Today’s freebie is a winter sentence scramble. My students can always use some practice with sentence word order. This activity gives my students a chance to place words in the correct order and rewrite the sentence using neat penmanship.

Snowman Book

Before I introduce this activity, I like to read a fun snowman story first. Here is one of my favorite snowman stories. The Biggest Snowman Ever. This story is about a field mouse and a house mouse who compete with each other to build the biggest snowman ever. They quickly learn that they can accomplish more when they work together.

Sentence Scramble

After reading the book, we practice unscrambling words that I wrote on index cards to make complete sentences. Finally, my students complete a sentence scramble worksheet.
