In kindergarten, we are always working on language and sentence structure. Sentence scrambles are a fun way to practice these skills. Today’s freebie is a popcorn sentence scramble.

Popcorn Sentence Scramble

Sentence scrambles, or cut-apart scrambles are a quick and easy no-prep way to practice sentence structure. Students cut apart the words in the sentence and put them in the correct order. They read the sentence and rewrite it correctly. Last, students draw a picture to show what the sentence says.

This can be used as a whole class activity, small group, or independent. Once your students have done them with guidance once or twice, they know how to do this independently.
