If you have been reading my blog lately, you may have been following my series on interactive notebooks. Today I am here to share about who benefits from interactive notebooks.
So you may be thinking, are these only good for certain grade levels? The answer is yes…all grade levels. Kindergarten and first grade can benefit from interactive notebooks, in fact, they get extra cutting and spatial practice with these.
Each year, I have a wide range of abilities in my classroom. I have found that interactive notebooks made it easy for me to differentiate instruction with all of my learners. They are also great for my English learners. I had a sweet little girl last year who had limited language skills and by the end of the year, she was so proud of her book and she was able to share her book with others and explain the vocabulary in the book. I believe our consistent work in the notebook contributed to this.
In a nutshell, interactive notebooks are great for all learners!
