Groundhog’s Day Resources

Groundhog’s Day is coming up.  It is one of those holidays that is just kind of fun to teach.  I love to play shadow tag with my class around Groundhog’s Day.  It is also a great time to incorporate weather.  Here are some fun books and other Groundhog’s Day resources I enjoy sharing with my class.

Other Resources

Learning about groundhogs can be a lot of fun!  We love to watch short, informative videos about these furry creatures.  These videos are attached to QR codes, so my students just scan and watch.  Check them out here.

Another fun thing about this day is learning about shadows.  My students love magazine-type articles to read about various topics. One of the articles in these monthly In the News packs is all about shadows.  My students love these!
