We also completed a symbols page in our interactive notebooks. I’ve complete revised the American Symbols interactive notebook pack, so if you have this be sure to go to my purchases and re-download it!
We also learned about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. They are a great lead in for our American Symbols unit. I found this adorable Abe Lincoln direct draw from Deep Space Sparkle that we did. They turned out so cute!

Last night our family had to opportunity to attend a Sacramento Kings Game (vs. Clippers). It was our son’s first basketball game and they were boxed seats. He was so excited! What we didn’t know, was that we also had access to two court side seats. We took turns sitting so close to the action. As an added bonus, Vanilla Ice performed at halftime with the Ninja Turtles. I know…totally random, but a little Ice, Ice Baby is fun once in a while!
Hello there! LOVE your new blog design, especially the frog in the bag – super cute! LOVE the George Washington and Abe drawings! Have a wonderful weekend at the meet-up!
I also love your new blog design. We have been learning about symbols as well. We’ve been recognizing them in holidays and in also in math. Very cool!
Glad you are having fun with your new cute design. And I sure wish I could go to that so cal conference… it’s a bit of a haul from Michigan though. I bet you’ll have a great time. See you around. Kathleen
