Happy Weekend friends! Well, I am about a month into the new year and I am still exhausted every night. Will it ever end? I sure hope so! In the meantime, I thought that I would link up with Kacey over at Doodle Bugs Teaching for her Five For Friday.
One
This cat! This cat thinks it is a students at our school. I will refer to that cat as it because I have no idea if it is a she or he. It just runs up to me every morning as I walk to my classroom and begs for attention. I am an early bird, so I am there before any students and most teachers. So it happily greets me every morning and I just adore it.

Let’s talk packing up at the end of the day. Do your kids struggle with pack up? My kids struggle…big time. My students are a hot mess! I think I have a procedure set for pack-up, but there are always a few with students with papers all over the place like tornado firsties blew through!
I have given up. I just shake my head and laugh it off. #thestruggleisreal #teacherproblems

We got Chromebooks this year! Well, five of them. But I won’t complain! We are having fun with them so far. We have been using Lexia with them for the most part. I recently made some QR codes with animal classification videos to watch, and my students were loving it.

We are finishing up our animals classification unit and Friday was such a fun day. We made animal classification posters. It was a great authentic assessment tool. I still have a few that I need to re-teach that mammals have fur, not feathers! To read about other fun activities we do during this unit, check out this blogpost.

My son is playing flag football this fall. It is a new sport for our family and he is loving it. We won’t let him play tackle yet, but this is satisfying his football craze. Here is below playing quarterback. He threw two touchdown passes this game, woohoo!
I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
